Who handles your information
London Autism Group Charity (registered charity 1176341) is responsible for the information you share with us. For questions or requests about your information, email contact@londonautismgroupcharity.org.
Volunteer applications
We use your answers and any CV to consider your application, contact you and discuss how you could help. Only the questions marked as required are needed to submit. You do not need to disclose a diagnosis. Pronouns, location, age, personal connection to autism and access needs are optional. Please only include information you are comfortable sharing, and do not include DBS certificate numbers or details of convictions.
Your application is stored in Wix and the charity receives an email notification containing your answers. CVs are stored privately in Wix and require authorised staff access. We use this information for the volunteering process; submitting an application does not subscribe you to marketing.
Contact us if you would like to correct or withdraw an application, ask for deletion, or discuss how long your information is needed. Information should be kept only for as long as it is needed for its purpose or an applicable legal requirement.
Blog and article submissions
We use your name, email, ideas and submitted work to consider publication and discuss it with you by email. Your submission is emailed to contact@londonautismgroupcharity.org. Uploaded files are stored privately in Wix; our team receives a private download link valid for 90 days, without needing an admin login. We keep a restricted delivery record to handle retries and prevent duplicate emails. Submitting does not publish your work or subscribe you to marketing.
We will agree publication, edits and author credit with you by email. Only include personal information you are comfortable sharing and information about other people that you have permission to share. You can contact us to withdraw a submission or ask for your information to be deleted.
Newsletter subscriptions
We use the email address you provide, with your agreement, to send charity newsletters through our existing Wix mailing list. Every newsletter provides a way to unsubscribe.
Cookies and website preferences
Essential cookies support the website and its security. Accessibility choices, such as dark mode and text size, are stored on your device. Optional analytics can help us understand which pages and services people use. You can accept or decline analytics and change your choice using Cookie settings in the footer. Advertising cookies are not enabled by our consent controls.
Other services
Activity booking websites, donation providers and external sites have their own information and privacy arrangements. We link to these services clearly. The main calendar only displays public event and programme details, not participants’ booking information.
Your rights
You can ask to access, correct or delete your personal information, and raise concerns with us. These rights depend on the circumstances. You can also contact the Information Commissioner’s Office about how your information is handled.
