London Autism Befriending

The London Autism Group Charity is delighted to announce our Befriending Scheme for autistic adults and the wider autism community.

The scheme aims to provide friendship for people (16yrs+) living in London and surrounding counties including autistic people, parents and family carers.

We want the scheme to support people’s mental health and reduce feelings of loneliness which is particularly important given the times we live in. It will involve you being paired with one of our charity volunteers who will happily make contact with you first via whatsapp and, if you wish, 1-1 conversations over Zoom.

If you are interested in the service, or perhaps wish to join the scheme as a charity volunteer, please do email us at:
contact@londonautismgroupcharity.org.

Outreach Service

As an addition to our befriending scheme, our Charity also has a Community Outreach Officer who is able to visit Autistic people in the community.
She is also Autistic and is very easy to talk with and be around.

This is aimed at Autistic people that are  housebound much or all of the time, because of their disabilities, illness or social anxiety.

If someone is feeling isolated and would like to have some social contact, then this would be possible at the moment, while there are available hours.

This can be arranged as a home visit or at a public place such as a cafe or park, of the person's choosing.
